It seem that these days everyone wants to learn how to build up muscle and get that amazing body that you see on every sports related magazine cover for the past decade but, many of them don't know what it takes to get there body to that level of perfection and learn how to build up their muscles.

Here are 5 great tips to get you on your way to building up some big muscles.

1.) When you workout lift heavy weights with low repetitions around 70-80 percent of your max strength this will cause your muscles to get a great workout and it will keep you from getting hurt by trying to lift to much. When I say heavy weights I mean heavy for you. There is lots of people who can use half the weight someone else is using and they will learn to build up muscle just as fast it all depends on the person and there body.

2.) Have good technique when lifting this is a huge part of learning how to build up muscle properly if your technique is not correct you could damage your muscles, joints or tendons and in some cases much worse such as your spinal cord or neck depends on the type of exercise your doing. If you find an exercise difficult cut the weight in half till you have perfect form then work your way up too a heavier weight over time.

3.) Keep your workout's short I see way to many people go into the gym and spend more then 10 minutes between each exercise and this is way to long you want shorter intervals to keep your body working for maximum muscles gains. When your first start learning how to build up muscle you will be concentrated but over time don't fall into the crowd of people who spend hours at the gym talking instead of working out. When you head to the gym consider it a strict job your not there at chat you can do that after you're done.

4.) Protein power is a must when trying to build up muscle it is basically the staple for all weight lifters it's hard to get enough protein to satisfy your muscles in one day without having a drink mix you can throw together. If you purchase some pick a flavour you like such as chocolate because the container will most likely last you 30-60 cups depending on the size and you don't want to have to choke it down.

5.) This is the last but, not least this tip is one of the biggest tips I can give you if your serious about learning how to build up muscle and that is diet. I know whenever someone sees the word diet they just dread the thought of starving themselves or eating celery all day long etc but, this diet evolves around eating six small meals a day all packed full of carbohydrates and good proteins such as chicken or steak and potatoes which can be a very delicious meal.
